The Professor and doctoral supervisor at Huazhong University of Science and Technology, recipient of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, selected for the Youth Project of the National High-level Talents Program, Chief Scientist of the Key R&D Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Youth 973 Project, Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, Deputy Director of the Advanced Electrical Materials and Devices Research Center, and Vice Chairman of the IEEE PES China Energy Storage Materials and Devices Technology Sub-Committee. He received his bachelor's degree from Peking University in 2002 and his doctoral degree from Stanford University in 2008. He has served as a senior researcher at Dow Chemical in the United States and as the director of the Hefei Guoxuan High-Tech Research Institute. His main research focus is on electrochemical energy storage, where he leads several national-level projects, including key R&D plans in the field of energy storage batteries, the Youth 973 Program, and key joint fund projects. As the first person responsible, he has won the Xinjiang Science and Technology Progress Award, the China Electrotechnical Society Science and Technology Progress Award, and the First Youth Science and Technology Award. He has published over 200 SCI papers as the first or corresponding author and holds more than 100 authorized patents. He also serves as an editorial board member of Energy Storage Science and Technology and an academic editor of Interdisciplinary Materials.
