《Halogen-Rich Lithium Argyrodite Solid-State Electrolytes: A Review》
Exploring solid electrolytes (SEs) with high ionic conductivity, good chemical/electrochemical stability, and good compatibility with electrodes is important to facilitate the development of all-solid-state batteries (ASSBs). Due to their ultra-high room-temperature lithium-ion conductivity and relatively low cost, halogen-rich lithium-sulfide-silver-germanium ore electrolytes have recently received a lot of attention. This review introduces the crystal structure, ion conduction mechanism, and compatibility of halogen-rich lithium sulfur-silver-germanium ore electrolytes with oxide cathodes and lithium metal anodes. Secondly, the preparation process of SE thin film and the performance of ASSB based on this electrolyte are summarized. Finally, the challenge of the electrolyte and the next research direction are proposed. Halogen-rich lithium sulfur-silver-germanium ore electrolytes are one of the most promising sulfide electrolytes, and the compilation of this paper can help us better understand the development status of this type of electrolyte and promote its further application.
