The present invention provides a high-temperature resistant electrolyte, a secondary battery, and its application. The high-temperature resistant electrolyte comprises a polyfluorinated benzene compound, a lithium salt, and a solvent. The use of an electrolyte containing a polyfluorinated benzene compound at high temperatures can, on the one hand, alleviate the decomposition of the electrolyte to produce hydrofluoric acid, reduce the dissolution of transition metal ions from the cathode, and improve the high-temperature cycle performance and high-temperature storage stability of the battery. On the other hand, it has certain film-forming properties, forming a stable interface protective film, which enhances the battery's cycle life.
