Summary:

Presented invention belongs to the field of lithium-ion battery (LIBs) recycling technology and, more specifically, relates to a method for efficiently extracting active lithium from a waste anode of LIBs. Firstly, the solvent of dissolving solid electrolyte interface (SEI) is used to treat the SEI so as to form the holes or dissolution. And then the configured solution by a weakly polar solvent and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) is used to impregnate and treat the waste anode whose SEI has been damaged, and the active lithium in the anode is extracted by taking advantage of the electron-absorbing effect of the large π bonds of said PAHs. Compared to dissolving the PAHs with a strongly polar organic solvent, presented invention uses a weakly polar organic solvent to dissolve the PAHs in the recycling solution to extract lithium, which can retain the electron-absorbing effect of the large Π-bonds of the PAHs due to the weak Lewis basicity of the solvent, thus ensuring a strong interaction with active lithium in the anode and significantly enhancing the leaching rate of lithium.
