Congratulations to Zhang Zhuoran for his article on air-stabilized LiSbSnS sulfide solid electrolyte by J. Energ. Chem.!

Congratulations to Dr. Zhang Zhuoran of the research group for his paper received by the international authoritative journal "Journal of Energy Chemistry"! The topic of the thesis is "Li4-xSbxSn1-xS4 solid solutions for air-stable solid electrolytes".

Professor Xie Jia’s research team researched and synthesized a new solid electrolyte Li4-xSbxSn1-xS4 (0 <x< 1). Among them, Li3.8Sb0.2Sn0.8S4 has the highest ionic conductivity, 3.5 × 10-4S cm-1, which is 5 times that of Li4SnS4 and 3 orders of magnitude higher than Li3SbS4. The structure of Li3.8Sb0.2Sn0.8S4 was identified by the method of XRD refinement, and its structure was the same as β-Li3PS4 suitable for ion conduction. In addition, the new solid electrolyte exhibits high stability and no hydrogen sulfide release in humid air. Finally, we used Li3.8Sb0.2Sn0.8S4 to achieve high-capacity charging and discharging of LiCoO2/Li4Ti5O12 all-solid-state batteries. This work not only enriches the research of air-stabilized sulfide solid electrolytes, but also provides Li3.8Sb0.2Sn0.8S4 structural templates for the further design of new solid electrolytes.
