Li3PS4 solid electrolyte has the advantages of high ionic conductivity, wide electrochemical window, and low cost. It is a very representative sulfide solid electrolyte and has been widely studied in recent years. In this paper, the structure mechanism and preparation route of Li3PS4 solid electrolytes are reviewed by discussing the recent literature on Li3PS4 solid electrolytes. The strategies and research progress of Li3PS4 solid electrolytes in improving ionic conductivity, improving chemical / electrochemical stability, and strengthening mechanical properties are summarized and analyzed. Finally, the high-performance all-solid-state batteries based on Li3PS4 solid electrolyte and various anode and cathode materials in recent years are summarized. Based on the above analysis, this paper also points out the shortcomings of the current Li3PS4 solid electrolyte and looks forward to the future research focus and development direction of Li3PS4 and other sulfide electrolytes.
