《Research Progress of Lithium Metal Halide Solid Electrolytes》
All-solid-state batteries have become a promising next-generation energy storage technology due to their high energy density and high safety. Developing solid-state electrolytes with high room temperature ion conductivity, excellent chemical/electrochemical stability, and good positive/negative electrode compatibility is the key to realizing the practical application of all-solid-state batteries. Halide solid-state electrolytes have received widespread attention due to their excellent electrochemical window, high positive electrode stability, and acceptable room temperature lithium ion conductivity. This article summarizes the relevant research on halide electrolytes in recent years, reviews the composition, structure, ion conduction pathway, and preparation methods of this type of electrolyte, and analyzes the conductivity and stability characteristics of metal halide electrolytes. Representative applications of this electrolyte in all-solid-state batteries in recent years are summarized. Based on the above summary and analysis, the research challenges and development directions of halide solid-state electrolytes are pointed out.
