The Professor and doctoral supervisor of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, winner of the National Outstanding Youth Fund, selected of the Youth Project of the National High-level Talents Program, Chief scientist of the Key R&D Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Youth 973 Project, Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, Deputy Director of the Research Center for Advanced Electrical Materials and Devices, Vice Chairman of IEEE PES China Energy Storage Materials and Device Technology Sub-Committee. He received his bachelor's degree from Peking University in 2002 and doctorate degree from Stanford University in 2008. He was a senior researcher of Dow Chemical in the United States and president of Guoxuan Institute of Advanced Science in Hefei. Main research focus is on electrochemical energy storage, leading several national-level projects, including key R&D plans in the field of energy storage batteries, the Youth 973 Program, and key joint fund projects. He was the second contributor to the National Science and Technology Progress Award (Second Class) and the first contributor to the Xinjiang Science and Technology Progress Award, the China Electrotechnical Society Science and Technology Progress Award, and the First Youth Science and Technology Award. He has published over 200 SCI papers as the first/corresponding author and holds more than 100 authorized patents. He also serves as an editorial board member of Energy Storage Science and Technology and an academic editor of Interdisciplinary Materials.
