Congratulations to the research team Zhang Yunyang and Dr. Sun Yulong's co-authors for a paper accepted by the international authoritative journal "Energy Storage Materials"! The topic of the thesis is "Se as Eutectic Accelerator in Sulfurized Polyacrylonitrile for High Performance All-Solid -State Lithium-Sulfur Battery" (Application of SSePAN cathode material with Se as eutectic accelerator in all solid-state lithium-sulfur batteries).
The positive electrode material obtained by using the same main group element Se of S as a co-solvent accelerator added to SPAN, due to the high electronic conductivity of Se element and the chemical properties similar to elemental S, on the one hand, it can be dispersed at the molecular level. Participating in the SPAN matrix to participate in the electrochemical reaction to provide capacity, at the same time accelerate the electron and ion transmission speed, accelerate the reaction kinetic process, and show a significantly improved rate performance in the all-solid-state battery.
By comparing the SPAN and SSePAN charge-discharge voltage curves and the GITT test results, the polarization voltage of the SSePAN cathode material is significantly reduced; the DC polarization results show that the electronic conductivity of SSePAN relative to SPAN increases from 3.49×10-9 S cm-1 to 6.74 ×10-9 S cm-1, the electron transmission speed doubled; CV test obtained the ion diffusion coefficient of the two electrode materials, and the ion diffusion coefficient of the SSePAN electrode material during oxidation and reduction increased by 2.1 and 1.5 times, respectively.
